Dignity First
Every resident is treated with the respect and dignity every human being deserves. We do not approach care as a transaction. We approach it as a relationship.
About Ability First Care
Built on a belief that every person deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to grow.
Our Story
Ability First Care, LLC was founded to serve a real and urgent need in Texas: adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who deserve more than institutional care. We built this facility because we believe the right environment changes everything.
We operate as a licensed Home and Community Based residential treatment facility, fully compliant with Texas HCS (Home and Community Based Services) standards. Our residents are adults diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who benefit from structured, supportive residential care in a home-like setting.
Every member of our team shares the same core belief: the people we serve are whole human beings with goals, preferences, and potential. Our job is to support that potential, every single day.

What We Believe
Every resident is treated with the respect and dignity every human being deserves. We do not approach care as a transaction. We approach it as a relationship.
Support is not about creating dependency. It is about building skills, confidence, and autonomy so each resident can participate in life as fully as possible.
A safe environment and a warm, home-like environment are not opposites. We provide both, without compromise.
No two residents are alike. Care plans, goals, and daily support are built around the individual, not a category or a diagnosis.
Life happens outside our walls. We actively support residents in accessing their community, building social connections, and finding meaning in daily life.
We operate in full compliance with Texas HCS standards and maintain transparent communication with residents, families, and case workers at all times.
Our Approach
At Ability First Care, care planning starts with listening. Every resident works with our team and their assigned case worker to identify personal goals, from daily living routines to longer-term skills and community involvement. Progress is documented daily and reviewed regularly to ensure each resident is moving forward.
We coordinate closely with state agencies, families, and medical providers to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Transparency and accountability are not just compliance requirements. They are how we build trust with the people who depend on us.

Ability First Care operates as a licensed residential facility in accordance with Texas Home and Community Based Services (HCS) standards for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our license, staffing, and operations meet all applicable state requirements. Families and case workers can have full confidence in the quality and accountability of our services.
