Daily Living Support for Adults with IDD

Compassionate, patient guidance through everyday routines, building confidence and independence one day at a time.

What We Provide

Guided Support for the Tasks That Shape Every Day

Life is made up of daily tasks, and for many of the individuals we serve, those tasks present real and meaningful challenges. Our staff provide compassionate, patient support with everyday routines including personal hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, and time management, tailored to each resident's specific needs and goals.

The goal is never to do everything for a resident. The goal is to do as much as needed while building the skills and confidence for the resident to do more independently over time. Every interaction between our staff and a resident is treated as an opportunity to support growth and reinforce dignity.

Support levels are fully individualized. Some residents need full assistance with most daily tasks. Others need only light prompting or reminders at key points in their day. We assess each person's needs carefully and adjust support as they grow.

Common Questions

Questions About Daily Living Support

Daily living support covers personal hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, scheduling, and time management, as well as any other everyday tasks identified in a resident's individualized care plan.

Each resident's support level is established through their individualized care plan, developed in collaboration with the resident, their family, and their case worker. Plans are reviewed and updated regularly as needs change.

Yes. A core principle of our approach is using daily living support as an opportunity to build skills and confidence over time, not simply to complete tasks for residents. Staff use prompting, positive reinforcement, and structured practice to help residents do more on their own.
