Our Services
Comprehensive Support for Every Stage of Daily Life
From morning routines to community outings, we are with our residents every step of the way.
Tailored Services That Meet Each Person Where They Are
Every service we provide is built around the individual. There is no one-size-fits-all approach at Ability First Care. Our team works alongside residents, case workers, and families to identify what each person needs and what they want to achieve, then we build the support structure around that.

Service 01
Daily Living Support
Life is made up of daily tasks, and for many of our residents those tasks present real challenges. Our staff provide compassionate, patient support with everyday routines including personal hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, and time management.
The goal is never to do everything for a resident. The goal is to do as much as needed while building the skills and confidence for the resident to do more independently over time. Every interaction is an opportunity for growth.
Support levels are individualized. Some residents need full assistance with daily tasks. Others need only light prompting or reminders. We meet each person exactly where they are.
- Personal hygiene and grooming support
- Meal planning and preparation assistance
- Household chore support and guidance
- Daily routine structure and scheduling
- Prompting and positive reinforcement strategies

Service 02
Skill Development
Independence is built one skill at a time. Our skill development programs are designed to help each resident expand what they can do independently, from basic life skills to social development, communication, and community participation.
Goals are identified through the individualized care planning process and documented daily. We track progress, celebrate milestones, and adjust our approach based on what is and is not working for each resident.
Whether a resident is working toward taking a daily shower independently, learning to shop for groceries, or developing communication skills, every goal is taken seriously and supported with structured, compassionate guidance.
- Individualized goal setting with case worker involvement
- Daily documentation of goal progress and challenges
- Life skills training: hygiene, cooking, money management
- Social skills and communication development
- Community participation and integration activities

Personal Care

Individualized care plans specify exactly what type and level of personal care each resident needs, how they prefer to receive that care, and any special considerations. Privacy, respect, and personal preference are always honored.
